Hi guys

my 110 has just started making a 'fan' noise when i accelerate- coming from behind the center console - i thought it was my air fan until I turned that off, the noise matches my acceleration.

Have looked around on the web and general consensus is that its a blown turbo valve. Its dark but i have stuck my nose under the bonnet and tried to look at all the rubber pipes, dont see an obvious hole anywhere.

Also, stupid question of the day can someone point out the turbo? have my guesses but want to be sure!

main question - i need to drive her about 2.5 hrs up to Nhampton tomorrow. Aside from things like reduced performance, am I risking it to do so? I dont want to do any damage to the turbo but have to go (work).

Thanks gents/gent-ettes if we have any here!

Thanks

See your oil dipstick? To the right of it is your top intercooler hose- check that for splits etc. The bottom intercooler hose goes to the turbo- check that hose. You may have a hole in your intercooler or turbo to injector pump tube as well but unlikely.
I wouldn't drive any great distance because damage is possible.
Can you go to a local Indy dealer and get new hoses? Aftermarket or silicone ones are not overly expensive.
