Hi All,
I have just sheared the front n/s half-half spines and flange
could anyone please help identify my front diff?
2005 defender 110 hi-cap running standard diffs I presume
Thanks

Cheers, what I have found is n/s front half shaft is turning inside the flange
I have taken off the flange and both splines are wrecked, should I suspect further damage?
or will a new shaft and flange get it fixed,
o/s front splines are in perfect order.

You should be in a position to just pull the half shaft out and inspect the splines on the diff end.

Bit of stripping to get the shaft out.
Make sure the side you strip is hgher than the other side, that way no diff oil will run out when you remove the stub axle, assuming you have to on the td5?
