Hello I have a '93 Discovery and recently my radio was turned off (during its MOT) and a radio code is needed to reactivate it. I was wondering if anyone knew what the 'factory' radio code is for this. It is a radio/cassette and is pretty basic! Any help, information and most crucially codes would be most welcome!
Thanks
Jack

try 0000 mine did same then it locked me out cost me 150 for a replacement sigle slot cd player from halfords just be carefull if you have to change cos the connecting blocks get in way is best to undo whole panel lift out then fit down and you can adjust blocks accordingly hope this helps regards colin

How would you put in 0000 if the radio has buttons numbered 1 - 6?
I would expect the radio to have the code? on the display, mine has security!
I will phone the local land rover dealer and see if they can help.

If Its A Old Radio Take It Out Put It In A Bin Bag And Put In In The Frezzer For 24 Hours Then Put It All Back And It Should Work

ffs i've not heard of that for years ;)

This happened to me and I was advised to contact my main Land Rover dealer, tell them the problem and then give them the Chassis no.
Hey presto, they came back with the correct radio code.
Hope this helps.

i think you have to attend the dealer with vehicle and logbook for this and they charge you about 10 quid

'm only going off past experience and it was with a fiesta van so i aint 100% but i would think they all would, unless like old gas oil says you take it to the dealer you got it from;)

Yep, Yella Disco's not wrong. Ford charge about 14 quid plus VAT to access the main Ford database and give you a printout with the security code on.
