hey guys, my landy's leaking diesel at the guage.
is it easy to take the guage out and replace the gasket?
can i make my own gasket? no dealer has stock around here.

please advise ;-)

thanx in advance

hey there,
ok it was a piece of p1ss taking the guage out.. after i had taken the tank off the car.
hmm, with the statement above? no fuel around the guage? where does ur guage fit onto ur car? i hope its inside the fuel tank ;-)
where the thing mounts onto and inside the tank it was leaking fuel, have sealed it up properly.. wont leak again...well soon anyway ;-)

will refit it tonight.. first have to do my daytime job ;-)

hmm ok the sender unit then.. all the lingo is making me dizzy... think i need to lie down;-)

ok my appologies for being sarcastic earlier.. was lookin at sender unit, and typing guage unit ;-)

the sender's o-ring seal was still in great condition, but i think because it is an aftermarket tank the stuff might have been a micro mm out somewhere, and caused it to leak fuel.have added gasket maker to the inside of the seal and on the inside of the sender unit. should be toight now.

so by 2night, 24hrs later the sealant wouldve matured and set nicely.will refit the tank and keep fingers crossed.

tx for the advice and replies.
