OK HERE GOES, GOT A DEFENDER 110 HC (1989), WHEN I TRY TO START THE DAMN THING, THE BRAKE WARNING COMES ON AND NOTHING.

BRAKE FLUID IS TOPPED UP AND FINE

CHARGED BATTERY, ITS RUNNING AT 12V. ALL FUSES ARE INTACT IN CAB.

THE RELAY SWITCH IS TICKING BUT NOWT TO ENGINE.

SAT THERE FOR 30SEC-1MIN WAITING FOR GLOW PLUGS TO GO OUT, IF THEY GO OUT!! B4 TURNING AND STILL NO LUCK. THERE ONLY 3 WKS OLD.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS AT TO WHAT MIGHT BE GOIN ON?

There isn't a timer on the heater plugs on your 110 you have to decide for yourself how long you want them on for. Check the leads to your starter are nice and tight, along with the battery terminals, earths etc. Don't rule out the battery not having enough umph in it to kick the starter over so try jump leads off another vehicle if that works suspect your battery.

as hugh says, there is no relay on the plugs.

you have to hold the key halfway between ign. and start, and the glow plug light will come up. hold it there for 20 secs or so and away you go!
