I hate having to fix other peoples bodge ups. I bought a genuine LR tow bar for my 300 TDi before I move to France at the end of the month.
Tow bar fitted in about 30 minutes and removed the grommet, wiring loom pushed up through the pre drilled hole in the floor and rubber grommet put in place... It was all going so well, it was all well designed and well thought out.. good old LR
All that remained was to connect the female 7 pin plug to the male 7 pin connector thats part of the original loom and its job done......or not in this case. When I opened up the access to connect the M&F plugs for the tow bar electrics I found the previous owner has hacked away the male connector from the Disco's loom and wrapped everything in 100 yards of electrical tape.
Spoke with LR and its not even a part they sell and now I'm pushed to get the electrics connected up properly. So I've spent more time fecking around looking for the right male 7 pin plug to fix the bodge up than fitting the actual tow bar. :frown:
Anyone know whare I can get the correct male 7 pin connector from? I'd rather fix it properly with the correct parts than just crimp spade connectors on.
