Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows the location of the dcu unit for the srs system?, I believe it' is in the centre console somewhere?, struggling to find pictures of roughly where and what it looks like, it's a 2001 4.6 vogue

Trying to remember but I think the ECU is behind the glovebox. Have you checked RAVE?

SRS ECUs are known as DCU - Diagnostic Control Units.

Buried beneath the back of the centrer console.

To get to it you need to remove window switchpack, gearshift surround, center console side panels, and lift the false-bottom out of the cubby box to unbolt the 2x nuts that hold the console in.
You may need to remove the black 'H' gate surround too - I can't remember 100% as it's been awhile.

But with that removed, the SRS ECU is in a metal cage under the carpet and foam padding.

I will see if I can find a pic from when I had stripped my interior out a few years ago and post it up.

EDIT: Picture below shows the location of the SRS ECU/DCU. It's in the metal cage, and the 2 threaded studs that come off the top of it are the ones that the nuts go on to hold the center console in place (accessed from under the bottom of the cubby box)
