certainly need some seriously capable mud tyres and a winch for parts of it but I did a fair bit on road tyres - got stuck plenty of times too! Worth going down though even if you got a standard motor! Didn't do a huge amount of damage, lost me aerial but worst of all I smashed the top off my snorkel on an overhanging tree

Sounds like mine would easlily go round there I have some serious mud tyres now, and a 2' suspension lift... But like you no winch lol

Oh yes I'll be there (mot pass depending) Ive got my lift kit on, mud tyres, new brakes, new exhaust all on etc etc..........

And today finally sorted the rot in the boot!!!!

I went for the medium duty terrafirma kit (£215 from ebay)

All fitted really well, and certainly stiffens up the standard wallowy, drive like a boat suspension! The rears were much easier than the fronts to fit, just watch the extension on your brake pipes and ABS sensor wiring, as i managed to rip out the ABS wires from their cable mounts when i jacked the axle down to get the springs out!

The fronts are a different kettle of fish entirley...... The axle has to be jacked way way down to get the front springs out, also the nuts that secure the lower shock absorber mounting inplace are a B****RD to get out if like mine they were rusty as hell, I had to heat up the nuts gently with a blowtorch to release them! After that, pretty easy!

However when you come to fit the new shocks and springs, you need hands and fingers with VICE like grip to hold the shock from extending all the way up into the turrett!!!!!

Anyways, you will be impressed with the results when theyre done as I was!

I got the +5" shocks and fitting kit from gwyn lewis and some +2" HD bearmach springs from newbury autojumble, not sure I'm gonna get a chance to do it with this sh***y weather though :(

Im kinda lucky ive been a mechanic over 20 years now and i work for the local bus company so i have free use of a pit and all the workshop facilities!! Makes all the difference!

You will be shocked when you turn up if you think you will go around there easily.

I was at slindon on the 23rd september, the sunday that it rained hard all day with my other disco, which wasnt 1/2 as prepared as this one and i went round most of slindons routes fine, so i think i should be ok with this one

hmmm white routes you'll **** with mud tyres... the winching area is a bit different! Like I said, you can go there with road tyres n have a good time (long as you got someone to tow you) but there's area's I didn't even bother going - there was a jacked up hilux (musta been about 6 inches) that was upto the headlights in mud in the middle bit :D
