Hi fellas,

as much as i love my s3 to bits it does occasionly do my head in!!

I have been sorting out the fact that it runs like a bag of ****e for ages and it hasnt moved. It now runs like a smaller bag of ****e (it runs and idles just sounds a bit rough etc etc.) jumped in to take it round the block and the bloody clutch has gone!!

I dont know why because it hasnt moved.

Is it possible that the linkage has rattled loose with all the shaking?
Is it gna be a massive weekend job if the clutch is buggered?

Any help appreciated

Jamie

resovoir was full when i checked it (just after realising it wasnt working)

Sorry 'gone' meaning i move the peddle with no resistance and it grinds like a pole dancer on heat.

i can put in gear with ignition off but as soon as its on it grinds and boots it out of gear again.

I've had this on a couple of series machines after a long lay up, the clutch plate sticks together!

Try sticking it in gear and starting it and take it for a bounce across a field, if the clutch plate is sticking then that will free it off.

Pedal movement with no resistance is usually a hydraulic fault. Look for leakage of fluid but it sounds like a master cylinder failure. Luckily the hydraulic bits are the easier bits to replace.
