Hi all - Rockspider here from the Eastern Cape area of South Africa.

I’m the proud owner of Daisy – a 1971 series 2a SWB Petrol Landy Built by Leykor based in Cape Town many years ago in CKD form (not 100% sure of history). She’s been on my side for more than 15 yrs and was in fact my first vehicle as a teen. I’m currently employed as a HVAC Mech Eng for an American firm (we can’t all be happy! :( ) designing RHD Hummers.

At a recent drive event to show-off the capabilities of this new Yank Tank to staff members I decided to tag along in Daisy…much to the dislike of management and amusement of colleagues. Daisy competed against these 180kW traction controlled H3 Humvees and performed brilliantly, completing all the obstacles in style with the least bit of effort !! :D :D I ended-up with most folks in Daisy (the secret beer supply had nothing to do with it!!)

Great forum

Aaaah, Daisy's lovely. Ain't that sweet a grown man naming his landy.:p

Welcome to the looney zone.

I challenge anyone to deny their Landy has character and so a name is entirely appropriate. I expect they call it Daisy cos it gets everywhere :D

If your Landy has no character then explain to me why you like it so much:rolleyes: :D :D
