Parrently window lift channels for the D2 come as part of the window glass at £120 D1 lift channels fit £15-£20 on ebay.
How to remove front window and lift channel.
You will need 8mm 10mm and 13mm sockets x head driver and a torx bit
.
Remove the door card, mirror and trims.
Theres 5 bolts holding the window frame to the door.
Torx bolt here... these 2 are different length so make a note which ones which.
and here
10mm bolt here
and here
and a 13mm bolt here, be careful not to drop this one cos it drops inside the door frame and its a bitch to get out, i used 2 knives to get it out
The window channel has 2 x 8mm bolts 1 each end and a x head screw holding the plastic bracket on the back.
Now remove the window frame take the glass out and fit new lift channel.
The old lift channel and rubber were too knackered to repair or reuse so i bought new part numbers ALR8022 and MUC2325 and some new door card grommit thingies just over £30 all in.
I used washing up liquid on the channel side of the rubber to fit it to the glass piece of cake.
You may need to repositon the channel on the glass so the window opens and closes properly so check operation before refitting everything else (took me 4 attempts before i got it right ).
Shove at all back together and you got a window that goes up n down again
