Copying across from Strata Florida Facebook page. Stranded D2 in need of a rear calliper to drive it home. I have advised to clamp of the the flexi to the wheel. Obviously it would be better if it had a working callipers. Unfortunately having never owned one I have no D2 parts whatsoever

Is it actually on Strata, as a few recent posts have shown off piste activity purporting to be on Strata?
Is it someone on their own or several vehicles?

Your clamping solution seems to be a good idea to get back to a public road.

Some lads on their own I believe. They have posted on the Strata and SYM Facebook page asking for help parts wise. This isn’t someone I know and no photos have been posted. That page though does not take kindly to off piste mind.

Over 200 miles from home so really not a good idea to drive that distance with clamped off brakes

What are you hoping for , by posting in LZIR Paul?

Long time no see , btw, hope all is good with you.

Cheers

See if anyone else local can help with the parts. I don’t like the idea of leaving someone stranded as I know I would appreciate it if I was in that situation myself.

No. But ok to drive to the nearest public road for recovery.
They DO have recovery? Or are yu saying 2 lads drive 200 miles to do Strata on their own with no help and no recovery?

Definitely not! I won’t drive any lane without a group and have personal AA membership as well as my own flatbed trailer and beaver tail recovery truck.

That might be a bit overkill, but better safe than sorry.

Yu don’t fancy earning a buck or two? £5 a mile? :D
