Chasing down a coolant loss in the system of my D2 TD5 (surprise surprise)!

The reason I ask about warm spots is I notice the area above my over flow tank always clears any condensation really quickly, whilst the rest of the bonnet stays covered in condensation got some time. Does this happen to other peoples TD5? If not then I suspect filler cap or cracked bottle.

But when you say it clears quickly. how quickly? the expansion tank caps are known to weaken with age. Normally shown by the overflow pipe letting coolant out from the tank .

Regarding the coolant loss, are you seeing any coolant on the floor? a place they go that is well hidden is a pipe from the oil cooler on the passenger side of the engine at the back under the turbo....Either it is a pipe connecting the oil cooler to a metal pipe that goes around the back of the engine or it is a rubber blank.
