Hi I'm rebuilding and servicing my Zenith and the pump is stuck inside the housing. Does it matter. How does it come out. Picture below is from YouTube showing the cylinder. Mine won't come out.

Does it move and pump fuel?

I really don't remember the zenith so no clue how it comes out but if it doesn't move then it's just blocked up with old fuel and sediment. It can turn to a varnish and eventually got rock solid and glue everything up.
Carb cleaner to the rescue, or a sonic bath

The spring moves but don’t think the piston does

Ok thanks. Is fuel supposed to come out of the hole in the top?

When carb is together fuel squirts into the venturi [ where the air goes in ]
