Does anyone know how much TD5 cylinder heads weigh? Can they be lifted off the block by two people comfortably?

I’ve just removed my 200tdi head , not too heavy however the hard part will be leaning over depending on how good you’re back is, my engine was on ground, if you have two I would use a long pole and sling and lift from either side of wings

That was exactly what I had in mind. On rave it says the bonnet on a Disco has to be removed. I have already removed the intake manifold, but I am hoping I can put it back with both manifolds bolted on. Thanks.

bonnet can be propped up enough,and you cant fit and remove with both manifolds

Bolts all removed and although only moved it a few mm to feel the weight, i feel when I am next off on Thursday the two of us will manage it. Need to get something like 3x3 (or 75mmx75mm0 piecer of wood. Got some scaffold planks at the bottom of the garden long enough but they are filthy. Thanks.

It was a lot easier to lift out than I thought it would be, with two of us lifting and the wife tilting it when needed.
