In a moment of gross stupidity my partner decided it was a good idea to buy bikes now i need a cycle carrier for my RR classic a tow ball one is my preferred option Can anyone recommend a good supplier
Other option is to get rid of wife and bikes but reckon carrier is cheaper
Cheers in anticipation

I have tried both types, bought a Paddy Hopkirk towball mounted, if I remember correctly it holds two bikes, the only problem with it was that when fitted to our Discovery or Freelander you can't open the back door.
It cost under £20 and was okay.
I later bought a Simbar 4 bike rack which cost around £80 it was specific for the Discovery 1 I had at that time but with a little bit of fabrication I made it fit the Freelander and now my Discovery TD5, it is much better as you can open the back door even when the bikes are fitted.
Only thing is you need to take the spare wheel off to fit the boss, but this can be left in place and the rack itself is fitted when needed.
Remember you will need a light bar when the bikes are on as most of the lights are obscured.
Hope this helps.

Iain, if you would like to send me a couple of pictures of you on your bike then I will buy you a cycle carrier

I know a lot of people who would pay good money to see you on a bike ! :p
