Hi has anyone any tips on splitting the cv joint from the drive shaft on a 1993 discovery 1, I have wrecked the spline have new parts just can't split it to put new bit on cheers in advance

whack it off with a copper hammer or use a wood block and normal hammer, you will need to stand cv on end and push snap ring in with screw driver as you tap new shaft in

make sure cir clip is removed then tap off usually easy to come off.

it can take quite a whack to get them apart ,but it will

u definately removed the little round clip? im sure thers one (while since i did mine) but came out with a swift whack...or two

you cant remove clip until they are seperated

as above one shot greese (sh!tpart do one thats measured to right amount), you can use oil but if globes are abit naff then theres more oil on drive than in em
