Hi All

Been using my 110 V8 a lot over the past couple of weeks and it has developed a nasty habit of just cutting out for a split second. It will completely cut out and then bump start itself and carry on.

I know one of the carbs is a bit dodgy as I have to have it running quite rich.

Could it be fuel starvation? Electrics? Any thoughts?

Thanks

sounds electrical.

i had something similar once, the wires to the igntion amplifier (on the side of the dizzy) has split and were shorting occasionally.

so it would run and then not run, depending on wire position.

im not saying your problem IS this, but could be similar. for such a definite on/off id guess electrics somewhere...

This was the wiring yesterday morning, tidied it up now.

The ballast resistor is not wired up as per the wiring diagram - does this mean it has been bypassed? The coil says on it COL202 12V BALLAST.
