Hi fellas , can anyone show a picture of the cut out switch on a 2.5 p38 2000 diesel and also does it press down for off and up for on ???? please , does it just pull up or what , thanxs Mozz

I was also under the impression that it should give a message on screen if switch had been tripped.
Push to reset.

Luckily never had to find out if it works:) in an impact it’s also supposed to pop the doors open and turn on hazards.

Or are you referring to a stop solenoid for a diesel? (If so cant help sorry)

hi again ,is the above known as the inertia switch " fuel cut-off " ?????

Inertia switch is behind plastic panel at base of drivers A post. Passenger A post LHD. If tripped can be reset by pushing button in. It cuts supple of power to lift pump in case of a collision. But can get corroded contacts and cause lift pump not to work. If lift pump is working switch is fine. Fuel cut off solenoid is on injection pump. Fuel is cut off when it is dropped and on when it is lifted. It should click when ignition is turned on.

You sure it pops the doors and turns on the hazards?
