Hi, I am trying again to get some help fixing my cruise control, from the amount I see about with it not working somebody must have some experience!!
It used to work intermitently and on the times it did work I could hear a click behind the dash when I operated the steering wheel switch, I can't hear that click any longer, however, when I press the main switch I can still hear a relay under the glove box click, this makes me think it might be an electrical fault??
It's a 1995 3.9 auto and I have tried the following;
Checked the vac pipes (all the ones I could see), even snipped the ends off where they looked a bit stretched and sucked them to check, yeuch!
Swapped the relays over with other working stuff (the ones under the glove box).
Bought a second hand vac pump (under the headlamp) and swapped that over (guess it could still be that??)
Checked the brake pedal switch and that is working OK.
I'm not sure where any of the other bits are to check or replace them so any help is greatly appreciated, please.
