So, I took the FL to the local dealers today to get CC activated. After looking at all the possible online threads and "I have done its" from FL1 owners, I checked the loom and ECUs and all that was missing were a couple of switches, duly installed.
Nothing happened. No worries - often just needs it enabled in the main ECU. Called Hunter's in Guildford and they said yup, no problem, 1 hour max, £50 squid. So I dropped in there this morning...
2.5 hours later, a tech sheepishly tells me he found the area, downloaded the map, and it failed halfway through and they can't start my car.
Ok.. I need a car, so I nabbed a loan FL2 (not bad, not bad).
Called me back and said right, they have fixed it, but CC is not enabled. This will cost LOADS of time, money, blah... even though they said it is just an "enable" in the CCF and the issue was on the mapping process!
Does anyone else in the relatively local area have any suggestions, info, input... someone who knows what they are doing? I have seen plenty of posts of FL1 owners who have enabled it now, in fact many were plug and play.
