Bit stumpted here, I have a very early 4.6HSE that has the 2 cruise control switches on the steering wheel and all the pipework and cables under the bonnet but no cruise control master switch on the centre consul. Where it should be is just a factory blanking switch, my question is are the first P38's meant to have this switch and mines has been removed for some reason or are they configured differently?
Can I just pick up a switch and try my luck fitting it?

My first p38 was a 95 one of the first off the line and it had one
Cant see why anyone would go through the hasle of removing a switch that dont work and blanking it rather than fit a new one

Maybe someone's replaced the fascia unit with one from a P38 without cruise control. If so there would be a switch unit behind it but nowhere to mount it in the panel

Not all have cruise control. But in this case if all the pipework is present and the cruise control unit is in place. Then trying a switch may give results.

I stand corrected
My first p38 was a 4.6hse 1995, my second was a 1998 4.6hse and my curant is a 98 dt and theyve all had it
Didnt work on them all but had it lol

Only thing i am going on is Microcat Cruise ECU is listed as (With cruise control) so i take there will be some without cruise control.
