Does anybody have any opinions/feedback about the Romanian Cross Lander
that should be for sale in the U.S. by next year? It looks pretty bad ass,
and is surprisingly affordable. The approach/departure angles look great.
Does it have a solid front axle?

Believe it when you see it on a dealership floor! This vehicle and
others have been promised in the past, yet have never actually made
it. Honestly, although I'm not a big Jeep fan, why would I buy an
unknown Romanian vehicle when I can pick up a new Wrangler for the
same money?

All I have heard is that the company that is making (ARO) it has a
solid track record of producing some pretty terrible vehicles from a
reliability standpoint. There is site from a houston dealer that has
the most info I have seen so far...
http://www.crosslander.com/index.html
Looks like a Rover Defender rip off from the outside, which when you
consider the price makes it very appealing. However when you take a
look inside it looks really cheap and plastic, like and XTerra or a
Hyundai.
I cant tell from any of the pics but I would venture to say from some
of the articulation pics that it is independant susp.
