S suburban Well-Known Member Oct 3, 2019 #1 tonights dumb question, can incorrect timing cause excessive crankcase pressure? only ask as my 2.286 na s3 diesel has leaked oil from the top breather ever since I did the timing chain.

It has plenty of that probably put it back to petrol - going off the chassis number it was originally petrol - what I save in oil can go towards the reduced economy
