Mongo Active Member Apr 21, 2018 #3 kind of difficult as the car is in Aberdeen and I'm in London. it looks a clean enough car and the mileage stacks up as I've checked it on the DVLA website. seems a bit weird that a crank sensor would make it cut out when warm.

J johnnyb70 Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2018 #4 That's a typical failure mode. When it cools it will start fine and probably continue ok until you stop and get heat soak off the engine.

Mongo Active Member Apr 22, 2018 #6 I've also spotted a td6 diesel on a 04 plate. described as Smokey and sluggish it would appear to have a faulty turbo, but you can buy a replacement for about 300 quid. td6 or 4 litre petrol???
