Given all the defender thefts ,I'm going to fit a switch (hidden) between crank position sensor and ecu any one done this and if so what colour wire did you fit the switch,if anyone knows how to do this and which wire to switch please could you pm me rather than post on here

Don't mess with the crank sensor's circuit, it's a double wire shielded wiring to it to be protected by electromagnetic ''noise'', if you want a DIY immobiliser insert a hidden toggle switch on the ECU's main feed.... if you want that PM me with your defender's MY and i'll tell you how
 
messing with signal wires good luck your ohm load may increase and give future issues later down the track
this is why i like to install my kill switch to an ignition relay or even starter relay combined without affecting the ecu
even newer vehicles are stolen to this day

with all this technology and kill switches .....doesnt stop them towing it away and tearing it apart down the road
