I recently bought Hardura seat box and footwell set from LRI solutions for my 1992 200. Unfortunately the order was delivered incorrectly so is going back (LRI were really helpful, in sorting the issue), and to be honest I didnt really like the Hardura finish anyway so probably worked out for the best.

Was thinking of making my own carpet set to do the same job, and was wondering if others have done the same, and what sort of carpet they have used? Any ideas, tips and pictures would be really helpful.

I would say anything that can get damp and smelly is bad news for at least your nose in a land rover.
Even rubber floor mats hold water on their underside for weeks after the rain has gone

Recently carpeted my 110 with a couple of rolls of proper auto carpet I found in a shop run by an Asian gentleman in town, only cost me £3 a roll which was about 6 feet by 8feet. However after some rain the passenger side was wet not surprisingly so I have no got rid of the carpet sections in the footwell and replaced with rubber matting that slightly overlaps the sides for that nice bowl like effect. However I intend to do seat boxes with the remainder of it.

Ive got rubber floor mats in the series and the 90, the problem with rubber floor mats is they stay wet underneath the mats for weeks at a time.
For the series I have made these from cheap floor mats off of ebay,
So far only done passenger side, but rained heavy today and pasenger side was nicely drained, drivers side had water on and under the mat, so of course as soon as you get heat out of the heater its fug time!
