Could anyone help with an issue relating to corrosion on the wiring loom for the head unit control unit. L322 2004 Vogue
The control unit connectors have corroded and I require a new box. No problem.
But the metal connectors inside the plastic plug from the wiring loom are also in bad state. Replacing the loom is obviously a very expensive option. I have been to an Auto Electrician who says the particular size of terminal required to go inside the plastic connector are very hard to find. Any ideas???

Thanks for the reply. It is not as simple as that, one wire has snapped off and the whole plug is full of black gunk and the metal terminals are all corroded inside. It needs to be replaced. I think I may have located what I need now but if anyone has a used sat nav unit going I would be interested in buying it.

If it's that bad, and it's not something that you're goiung to be unplugging on a regular basis, why not just cut the lot off and stick in a connector block or solder and heatshrink the wiring. If, for some reason, you want a plug and socket you could replace the whole lot with Anderson connectors.
