Hi, I have changed the water pump and P gasket on my 300tdi and I still had a small coolant leak, took it all apart again to find the adjacent core plug had corroded and was leaking. Not wanting to bodge it, I removed it and ordered a new one costing 75p from a well known UK supplier it arrived in good time but was only 50ml dia when the old one is 52 to 53ml, this firm says it is all they have..... anyone know of a mail order firm who will have the correct one and will post to France please..

you need erc4996 53mm, same plug since series 3s

i think id have ordered another 4 theres 3 on turbo side of engine and one at rear (need engine out to swap)usual cause of them rotting is not using fresh coolant and using water or weak coolant instead
