can someone tell me the correct coolant for my 2.5 dse 96plate please

G12 13? Pink green blue?

Thanks

ignore colour.
do not mix types
if you want to use long life oat, then fine, otherwise ethylene glycol will do.

Oki dokes thanks away to get and sort this out tonight it's had nothing but plain water in since I got it haha

There should be a 22mm drain plug on the radiator ,it wont empty the block but it less messy than pulling pipes off;)

I NEVER understand why people put in just water

Coolant, as the name suggests, helps cool the engine. Not only that, it lubricates the moving parts like the pump.

I would keep a weather eye on the water pump chief as it may just throw in the towel for badness.

Not only that, water can cause untold build up of utter cack in the engine and rad.

I would think about a proper flush through before the bad weather kicks in.

As for colour, it's alloy mostly so I use OAT which is pinky/orange colour :p

Yeah it's not ideal 2ltrs against god knows how much water in what's got to be a huge system.

About time I rectified it before anything causes greif.

Good time to flush it then!

Mine's the long life green stuff. You've a mixture of ally and steel so it has to be resilient.

Bad weather kicks in?

I always thought the weather was iffy in Scotland (four seasons, three of them winter - the old gags are the best) but it's not July yet and the kids are still in school.

No wonder you lot sink Buckie like you do:):)

Buckie Iv been there

Buckie Iv drank that yuk!

Yeah the weather can be 4seasons in one day

As far as traveling 40mile to a job can go from being freezing to beaming sun to rain.

Today's choice is rain
