Hi folks,

Quick question, what type of coolant should I buy for my 2001 Disco 2 TD5? It’s orange the stuff that’s in it just now but wondered whether the universal type is ok to use also?

Oat: Organic Acid Technology This coolant is usually dyed yellow but comes in other colors like green, pink, red and orange, which leads to a lot of confusion. There should be a label on your header tank saying OAT coolent .

If you want a base to compare the various specs, the LR recommended anti-freeze for the D2 Td5 is "Havoline XLC" mixed at 50/50 with water.

hi make sure someone hasn t put normal as i bought my landy back off a friend and he had put normal antifreeze in and gave me some halfords to top up it was oat i had to flush the whole system and put new normal in as its a tdi .
dont mix oat with normal it starts to sludge up
