This is for a 4 litre efi engine in a 2000 series 2 Discovery.
I hope it's not a stupid question but what is the correct way to top up or refill the rad without having air locks in the system ?
I'm used to the 300Tdi where I always filled via the 'stat housing. On this I've noticed a bleed valve in one of the hoses by the rad. Do I open that before filling the header tank or ?
Any advice as always would be a help.
Thank you.
Graham.

Assuming you don't have a hand-book try YouTube.
The latest RV8 I've owned was a 3.9 & I seem to recall there was a additional plug, on a raised pipe at the side of the plenum cover, that should be removed during filling.

Thanks, the only bleed screw on this is on the pipe that runs over the top of the rad cover. None by the plenum cover. The YouTube ones show a later engine with the bleed screw on the T piece in the hoses.
But thanks again I would like to know when I reconnect that throttle body hose together because thereygoing to be some coolant loss.

Absolutely wonderful, thank you. I'd forgotten that there would be a Rave manual for the V8, just downloaded it and got rid of the one for the 300.

Thank you !

Is the rave manual you now have the NAS one or the one that contains the TD5 as well?
