First one on head near injection pump should be blue two wire or in some cases brown one wire dash gauge sensor. Next one should be Green two wire engine ECU sensor. Last one nearest bulkhead should be black two wire Aircon fan sensor. If you have a blue or brown sensor where green one should be you will be having problems.

just looked has got green one in middle think it might be goosed had it on diagnostics showed 44 c when engine is cold

Default used by ECU if sensor is knackered is supposed to be 50 c so it's not a long way from that. Try it first thing in morning before start up should be around same as temp on Hevac unit.

If diagnostics showed a decrease in voltage as the temperature increased does that mean the sensor is ok?

As the temperature increased, there was a drop in the field showing temperature (v), also the fuel level and accelerator pedal were all over the place, it was a snapon machine.

Proper diag may help.

I think there was a member in St. Austell who was planning on buying a Nanocom. Cannot remember his name though.
