Hello

I have a simple question for all you knowledgeable folks out there...

I have bought a 2007 black defender 90 county recently.. It has general grapper tyres that look kinda of puney/thin from the front...

I dont do off roading ( hopefully in the future) but I want a set of bulky/meaty looking tyres.. as wide and as chunky as possible to give that powerfull aesthetic..

I want them to be AT as I will be using on the road 95% of the time..I also dont want then to be noisy.. Im just about used to the engine noise now :)

Any suggestions of what would suit me?

Hahaha. Hi Dave, you won't get any wheel and tyre answers in here mate- you might get some abuse tho! Haha.
Do a search mate (at the top of screen). There's loads about it.
I got ripped the other day, quite funny really. There's some very knowledgable members on here tho mate so have a read and ask away!!!

Do a f***in search ya lazy b*****d!!!

Sorry! Couldnt resist.

i'll help ye :). really depends on your budget. kumho mt tyres look quite aggresive and are very good off road but still apparently give a smooth and relatively quiet on road experience (depending on your pressures). But you cant get 'chunky' and 'meaty' tyres that are good on road as they are designes to be good off it. In terms of all terrain tyres, the most aggresive one you can get i would say is the Insa Turbo Traction track (not special track thats a MT). I recently got some Enduro Runway At tyres at a great price considering they are not a remould and I am very happy with them. the bigger size and black wheels have transformed the look of my 90. There are lots of tyres out there, you just need to go on a 4x4 tyre website see what you like and look for the best price from other dealers. Try 4x4 Tyres for example.

Where are you located? I have a set of wide AT's that are almost new - if you were near me you could come take a look.

Its all right for you lot, you obviously have some idea what you are talking about :D

My new Landie got laughed at in another thread for its "baby tyres". So I've searched and am still no wiser.

I have absolutely no idea what all these sizes and types are. Do I need different wheels etc etc.

I was actually going to ask but I think I'll have to just go to the tyre place now.

put some 35/12.50/15 on and be done with it

Is this a real suggestion or a "left handed hammer" one

Would hate to go to the tyre place and took a total numpty when they bring JCB tyres out :D :D

you need to decide what you will be using the car for, if its gonna be an offroader get the size above in mud terrians,

if its road use get road tyres, or a bit of both all terrians not as good as either on there preferred surface but good at most things
