I know this has come up a few times but theres still nothing on how to do it or what you need.I want to convert my front windows to manual as i come into contact with a lot of water so dont want to depend on electric.I have brought manual mechs and sort have got them fitted but the last slide bar that steadies the whole setup i can seem to find and holes for it to bolts up through.Has anyone done this or know a little but more then I do as I really close but yet so far??

My Disco has manual windows, I'll have a look later, taqke the card off and take a few pics, see if it helps. The Disco ain't going anywhere for a while!! ;)

Not had time, sorry.

Be tomorrow midday before I get chance again.

Apologies .. I can't get the doors open enough to get the door cards off without breaking them, and I'm not doing that, sorry!

When I take the Poly-tunnel down and move the Disco I'll get a chance, but it's not a priority just yet ..

Heh, yeah .. I don't like changing cars much .. but actually, we never needed to. It's done everything ever asked of it and more besides. I've had rip-snorters in the past, company cars, sheds, loads of different cars but the Disco was the only one, including the Series, that I ever _really_ liked and which I couldn't fault. (Apart from some of the design 'features, maybe) ;) I think that's why I tried so hard to get it going again after the swim .. It will run again, but I can take my time now and will probably replace the 90's 19j engine with the 300 tdi, so it'll 'live on' again ..

Early '02 we got it, one owner, FSH 55k on the clock and absolutely mint, apart from a small dent on the offside rear that the owners wife had done the day before we collected it!. £7k cash, down from £8+, all the money we had at that point!

Didn't use it for laning much at first, it was bought to occasionally lane but mostly to tow the caravan to Trials and Model car Racing with enough room for all the necessary kit and two small kids. Then when the alloy started deteriorating .. well, you know .. :)

It was odd going from a Series 3 to a 'new' Disco .. ;)

Strangely, we bought it less than 2 miles from where I just bought the Defender from!

We have a 94 300 disco as a run around and it's quite simply superb.

You'll be well setup with the 90 for fun and the disco for running about, but maybe the 90 needs the v8 actually...

Just converted a 3 door ****-kicker-spec disco to leccy windows- The holes for the rails/ whole lectric assy were all already there. Dont think there was any extra holes for in the door shell for manual regulators- no piccies am afraid!
