Hello all,
I eventually decided to buy myself a discovery after many months of questioning and wondering.
So it is with me now. A 2002 Td5 XS (Middle spec in SA with SLS and the like).
I am very happy with it at this stage (other than the fact that I just found out I do not have the CDL spigot - which makes installing a CDL quite expensive)
I have a few quesions that hopefully someone can help me with.
Firstly, what is involved in fitting the CDL if you do not have the spigot. Is it basically a removal of the transfer case and changing a few bits and bobs and the outer casing? Any idea on cost?
Secondly, I have seen that there is a threaded hole at the bottom of the bell housing. There is no plug in it? What is this for? Should it be plugged?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
