Hi Folks,
owned a Freelander for 2 days so now feel that I can give you all the benefit of my experience! It's a 2.5 V6 with LPG. I realise that I've probably broken 3 golden rules doing this but for me there is only one 4 x 4 but it has to suit what I have to do. I import Airstream travel trailers for the US. After importing a few truly large trailers I have steadily reduced the size I carry from 31 to 29 to 23ft and I have bought a little 17 footer for myself to trail all the summer - hence the Freelander.

Please note, I will not countenance the use of the word "caravan" in connection with my Vintage Retro Airstream Travel Trailers. Caravans are, in the words of Airstream owners, "white goods" or "SOB's"(some other brand).

Being used to a Saab turbo I wanted something with a bit of push and LPG as I've got used to the price. Having said that when I started buying LPG last summer it was 56p and now I cant get it for less than 73p - quite an increase and that point I'll shut up for the benefit of all those paying 135p plus for UL and DESO.

I intend to change the cam belts and put 4 new tyres on it before the winter. If anyone wants the 17" Wolfrace wheels on it I will part with them then as I much prefer the traditional wheel/tyre combo.

Marc

Welcome!

Good you're changing your gaylander with caravan back to normal tyres! Have fun with em, especially with your caravans.
