Browsing fleabay and came across these 4 2358516 BF Goodrich 235 85 16 Used Worn Mud Tyres 4x4 on eBay (end time 18-Mar-11 16:22:34 GMT) listed as competition use only.

Now I understand that these cant be used on the road, but what are the differences between these and standard BFG MTs? Tried having a bit google but cant find anyone selling comp only tyres.

They prolly got some side wall defect that would fail an mot

would think competition tyres are made to pretty high specs, they get some grief when trialling.

they are actually stamped by the manufacturer which is what made me wonder.

first thing that crossed my mind was are they actually BFG tyres? none of the pics say so. could just be BFG style? make them more saleable by listing as BFG

i was thinking this myself as atleast 2 of them are a bit smaller and look like remoulds to me and is the second one green by any chance like its been sat at the back of the shed for years
