HI all, have always just put up with this but I'm down to the last few things the soaking carpets could be, and I guess this is one of them.

Any idea where air could be forced in at m'way speeds?

Completely separate to the hot air coming out of the vents.

I've got this, just below the brake unit on mine there is a large gromet that some body has poked wires through for something at some point and popped the gromet in!! Remove the panel below the steering column and take a peak, while your there put some spray grease on you pedal assembly! Two birds!!

Ha! Haven't put my steering column panel back on for two years. Thanks so much, I'll check.

At some point I'm going to tear all the windscreen trim off and completely seal all the bulkhead seams up. I hope that will FINALLY fix the sodden carpets.

Windscreen trim screws using Tiger seal; pollen filters with draught excluder; air-con drain tubes just above the transmission tunnel; sunroof drain tubes.

If it's like mine, when I replaced the pipe for the cruise control, the new pipe wouldn't fit through the grommet so there is now a gap. It's incredible how much cold air comes through the gap at 80mph!
