I am considering a coast to coast trip to raise money for a friend who hopes to go and do charity work in remote location in asia. Unfortunately i have been unable to find a suitable route via greenlanes. I have found a smashing video, but no maps :( Any help and suggestions appreciated. Heres the video I found, its a good watch :)

well only being a young'n my mapping skills are...limited haah, but if anyone comes up with a good map route let me know! Not sure if this will be going ahead yet, at least for that purpose but its something i would love to do at some point over the next year! In the video I linked, it looked like there are some really amazing lanes about!

lro did a coast to coast run it took two days.
it started in workington in cumbria
and it finished in redcar county durham
the routeis in the lor mag it is january issue 2012

Just had a look, it seems they only did a few lanes, and the map isnt that detailed. I am looking for something somehwat identicle to that in the vid. But thanks for the tip

how about is one starting in the lake district over to the yorkshire dales
and over to the north yorkshire moors to finish in like in scarborough
or some around that area.

There's a Coast to Coast series in LRO International starting in the May 2011 issue. St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay.

any maps that you've got I am happy to do them, if i dont do it for the cause i was orginally intending, I will certainly consider doing it in the summer.

I'd be up for a coast-to-coast weekend. Been thinking about doing it green laning since I did it on bikes many years ago.

I've got a route planned that I will be doing June time. Will start a thread closer to the time for anyone who would be interested.

Lakes, dales, moors ;)

Nice one mate, count me in!

I have a few lanes marked 'en - route' but not done the joiny up bits or even looked at 'em to see if it's possible .. :)

lots of nice rocky ones hopefully lol, will be certainly require alot of skillful driving and spotting unless you've got lockers :D but thats the fun i supose :D
