Had new clutch in my td4 back from garage 2 days 200 miles and this morning pedal went down pulled up pedal pumped it all ok driving goes again same pulled up fine. Just paid £500 Labour for this as I supplied new clutch. Any ideas before I ri g garage as they will say nothing to do with work we've done. Losing the will to live

Possibly just needs bled - their responsibility
Possibly the seals in the slave cylinder - unlucky!
Possibly the seals in the master cylinder - very unlucky!
:)
Did they change the fluid??

Be more unlucky if its the seals in the slave, as the box will have to come out again then!

I'm no TD4 expert, but I believe the masters do often fail after changing the clutch for some reason.

I'm presuming they changed fluid it was perfect until I got in it this morning I've just had new injectors so I've spent a lot of mo ey with this garage I'm not happy

Did you fit a new master cylinder at the same time? It not uncommon for a worn master cylinder to fail during the bleeding process. Only fit genuine or OE master cylinders, as cheap ones are garbage.

I am afraid you are right in the first post, because you have made the classic mistake of supplying the clutch they will blame that, anyone whom as a clutch fitted should always let the garage sort out the clutch as well, it sounds as though you have paid top dollar to have it fitted too, usually you can get a three part clutch & slave fitted including the parts for £600/650 with a 18,000 mile or two year warranty which ever comes first.

also when you have a clutch done always have the slave done at the same time, otherwise you will be in the position you are in now even if they had supplied the clutch for you, What clutch did you give them to fit was it a LUK?

Sorry to state the obvious above give the garage a ring be polite and state you are a good customer with them & can they please sort this out as the clutch is most likely not the cause but the slave & system needs bleeding or fluid changing completely if they did not do this, you maybe lucky and they will sort it for you.
