Hi Guys just want to ask how long should a clutch last disco td5  I replaced mine about two & half years ago with a heavy duty solid mass & I think its starting to go again its sqeeling some times but foot on clutch stops or let off on the power & it stops has a bit of vibration . I do heavy towing car transporter trailer plus disco has a remap lots of extra power so Guys what do u think

Depends how many miles you've done in two and a half years. The problem you describe sound more likely to be propshaft UJ's to me.

That is not a clutch problem, it is caused by a failing Prop UJ. As you accelerate, the UJ is put under increased stress, causing the squealing, when cruising at a constant speed the UJ is under less stress so the noise is less. Change the UJ before it fooks your propshaft yoke or the diff pinion bearing.

about the vibration: you'll always have a vibration with a solid flywheel...the dual mass acts like a damper too for the vibrations...and a worn spigot bush makes funny noises aswell

There is a very big difference between the small vibration you get from the flywheel, and the strong vibration, clonking and squealing you get from a failing prop joint.

i was referring to what the OP said:
