Hi all
Got a problem with my pedal sticking down, about a month ago we changed the master cylinder as I had no clutch and all was fine till tonight when my pedal stuck down and I couldn't knock it out of gear as I was at a junction and car just kept going, had to turn engine off and pull pedal back up. We never bleed the system as pedal was good and it went in gear easy. Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanx

What model?

Common fault on 1.8 is damaged bracket where MC mounts.

Td4 could need bleeding but could be something failed, check for leaks in all cases

For td4 I would start by checking that there is no leaks then check you have fluid in the master -the small black tub near the top left of the engine bay.

If there is fluid in there then you can bleed the system on a td4.

I find it best to have one persons pump the clutch about 10 times the hold in down whilst the other opens the bleed nipple by the gearbox for a second the closes so the first person can release the clutch. The first person may have to pull it back up the first few times. Keep an eye on fluid level.

I guess if that doesn't work there could be damage to the slave in the box or something
