hi everyone
been slowly rebuiding wifes s 2a 6 weeks now evenings & weekends i dont no what will kill me first the landy or the cold fitted a new slave cylinder today went out for a test drive clutch starting to slip in 3rd & 4th actually it dosent slip under revs only straight after changing gear then it is ok it seems to take a couple of seconds to bite after you let the clutch out there is a adjuster on the slave cylinder would adjusting that help or is it a new clutch

It might me the that the piston in the master cylinder is a bit gummed up or the pivot for the linkage connecting the slave cylinder to the clutch release mechanism is seized. Get somebody to press the clutch down and release the clutch while you are underneath watching the slave cylinder. Make sure the actuating rod retracts fully. Was the clutch O.K. before you fitted the new cylinder?

hiya fenby
yes the clutch was ok before i fitted the new cylinder i understand what you are saying basically check everything is moving as it should be its almost like something is slightly sticking i notice the slave cylinder is adjustable

You should be able to push the slave cylinder back with one finger in about 5 seconds.
If you cant then somthing is a bit iffy.
