About a year ago I had a complete new clutch fitted on my Defender TD5, due to being really busy at work Ive barely driven the Defender, when I tried to engage the clutch it just wouldnt, after some advice to leave the engine running to free it up it will now engage if the engine is off then I can start her up release the clutch and it drives, it will however still not engage when the engine is running, any ideas..thanks in advance

Hi, i hate to tell you but most common reason for such symptom which appears right after a clutch replacement is that the drive plate was fitted the other way around

I drove it for a couple hundred miles before it was left idle for a while and the clutch was fitted by a LR specialist, Ive had the slave cylinder changed, I'd take it back to where it was fitted but its over a hundred miles away, thanks for your reply
