Hiya gang,

Ive been lurking a bit since we bought or 90 a few weeks ago. It's loosing clutch fluid at the rate of 1/2 the res on a single 10 mile commute to my wifes work. So unbolted the slave and out pours a load of cruddy fluid.

Picked up a new slave from the dealer but cant get it to fit, the fork pushrod doesnt appear central in the hole and now after finding a better post on the slave change i find i positively 'MUST NOT' allow the rod to come out when withdrawing the slave cylinder /sigh.

My worry is now that the clutch fork isnt on its mounting, Would i be correct in thinking this can come away alowing the fork to drop down slightly ? and if so is it then impossible to get it back on without getting inside the housing.

Sadly my first post here is a depressing one but would appreciate any advice.

Will post in the new members hello section soon , at the moment i'm more than a shade depressed, 1/2 hour job no worries the writeup i read before starting this.

fork push rod will only be central when you hold it centrally ,carefully then fitting slave cylinder push rod is held in place by flimsy plastic clip but even if clip is broken or push rod pulled out it can be put back feeling rod in socket holding it while fitting slave cylinder the slave cylinder will hold rod in place even though theres no clip i had to do this a few times for people when rod came out with cylinder

Okies thanks for that should help some,

But is it possible for the clutch fork to come off inside the housing due to me pulling the rod almost right out (it is still attached with the plastic clip)
by ammost right out i mean say 60cm or so of it showing out of the slave mounting hole.

Ok thanks for that, and sorry to be a pain This is now a split to get everything back where it should be is that correct ? No way to get that fork wiggled back in position i guess.
