My clutch has just failed, the good book tells me to remove the IRD and then drop the gearbox. I am wondering if the IRD can be left bolted in place and drop box off both engine and IRD saving a lot of work.
Anyone have experience with this?
My experience of trying to cut corners like this is that you faff about; waste a lot of time; break something, probably yourself; then end up doing the job properly anyway. Don't mess about, follow the book.
