Hi guys,
I wondered if someone can shed some light on a small problem I have. Firstly I want to mention that I am in southern Tanzania about to cross into Mozambique but any work is best done here before I plod on and get a problem, as Mozambique is the wild west with no spares whatsover.
I have a 300 tdi, and for the last 1000 miles or so I get clutch judder as I pull away, not always, if I play the clutch i can get away with it sometimes. Once I am in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears no problem, there is a bit of a clunk when lifting off in 5th gear. Recently in the last 200 miles i have noticed a bit of oil coiming out of one of the front right handside drive member bolts.
So the question is:
is it a clutch problem or a drive shaft problem, obviously one is a lot easier to fix than the other. Also I might only be able to find a 2nd clutch is that worth fitting in the event its a clutch
Thanks
