Hi my p38 2.5 dse makes a horrible clunking noise when u put your foot down it's an auto, the noise seems to come from the middle underneath.
Any ideas cheers

Just put it through its mot last week thought they would have picked that up, I did think that at first, is there a better one to replace it with do u know ?

MOT are not interested in propshafts as far as I'm aware. They don't often fail if they are greased regularly.

They are not rubber! Cross shaped things at either end of your prop shafts...

Right lads changed the 3x uj's and the donut also changed the bush in the donut end (right bugger to get out but it's done) took it out for a drive and noise is still there when u put ur foot down it makes that clunking noise, also when u go up a steep incline it makes that noise any ideas ? Cheers

Did you check the drive flanges were tight on the transfer box when you had the prop shafts off?

Hi mate yes checked to make sure everything was tight, I had brought the uj's but when I took shafts off there was no play, but as I brought them I changed em while it was off just stumped as to where the noise is coming from

Give us more info does it do it once you start moving , all the time when driving , only when you floor it ?

Does it do it if you get some speed and put it in neutral and coasting all gears ?

Ect more info better understanding !
