Hi All,

Not had my Fender for a good while while i've been fettling her. Finally got her finished and back on the road with a full mot, but there's a hitch.

Ive driven approx 400miles since getting her back on the road, but in the last 10miles she's developed a horrible transmission juddering. It happens in all gears, High and Low box, and in diff lock. It stops completely when the g-box in in neutral (including when moving), and also if you run it through the gears with the T-box in neutral.

It doesn't happen at all in reverse.

I'm all out of ideas.

The vehicle is a '93 defender 110 with a 3.9v8, LT85 and LT230 (the linkage for the T-box is on back to front as it fouled the gearbox the other way, meaning High range is where you'd normally find low range. I'm not sure if this is relevant. . .)

PLEASE HELP, i just want to use her!

PS- anyone know any good garages near Bishop's Stortford, Herts?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Redhand. That had occurred to me as well- but wouldn't it judder in reverse as well if that were the case? (might be a daft question. . .)

Well. . .i didn't reach 40, but i did give it the beans when checking (closed long carpark. . .) :D

Is there an easy way i can check them?
